Jenifer is a certified Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer. She is Board Certified in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy; Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy; Certified Athletic Trainer; and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Jenifer grew up in Jackson, Tennessee and now resides in Iowa with her husband and two children. She worked for a short period of time as an athletic trainer for an orthopedic/sports physical therapy clinic in Park City, Utah catering to an active population ranging from ultramarathoners to competitive skiers.
Jenifer went to UTHSC to complete my Doctor of Physical Therapy and graduated with high honors in 2016. She was selected to complete a one-year residency at Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas where she had the opportunity to work with patient population ranging from youth, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.
Jenifer currently provides services for USA Gymnastics and U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association as a part of their medical team, which affords her the opportunity to travel and work both nationally and internationally.
The team at Performance Therapies is not only committed to providing high-quality care to its patients, but also provides support and encouragement to its clinicians to seek out opportunities of professional growth. The investment in people is what drew me to Performance Therapies. I am excited to learn and grow as a clinician and to serve the community of Iowa City/Cedar Rapids.
