This sport is perfect for any fitness level, and any age, because it keeps you MOVING! Making sure you have a proper warmup and cool down is essential to keep playing the sport you love, injury-free!

Physical Therapist, Kyle, is going over warm-up and cool-down exercises that will go over the muscle groups that you work on while playing the game.

WARM UP:

  • PULL APART: Using a band to focus on your upper body, specifically shoulders. At a diagonal, pull the band and switch arms.
  • LATERAL MOVEMENTS: Lunges and shuffles

COOL DOWN:

  • CALF STRETCH: Using the fence at the pickleball court, one knee is straight and the other is bent, pushing your weight forward.
  • LAT STRETCH: grabbing onto the fence and sink your hips back. Hold for 20-30 seconds.
